Gunn Looks To Crack Swansea’s Passing Game

Facing relegation to League One, time is running out for the Norfolk club to save themselves from the drop. But the Norwich City hall of fame member is just taking one game at a time as he bids to ensure that the club maintain their championship status next season as he told the Norwich evening news 24, he said “We need to make sure this club is in the Championship, then we need to refocus and regroup and the future can be looked at then.”

He added, “Certainly at this present moment, I think the focus has got to be on Swansea and Watford. There are old adages, and people say 'one game at a time' and this is where that adage comes into place. You look no further than that. Three points is what you play for and that's what we want to try to come out with, certainly after Saturday's game.”

Wary of the fluid passing game his Spanish counterpart Roberto Martinez chooses to play, Gunn is expecting that there will be a possibility of ringing the changes to match the fluidity of movement from the Swansea players as he now outlines, “System-wise, in terms of the way Swansea play you might have to make some changes. When I've seen them this season and the reports we've had, they play a very rigid system, with fluid passing through the midfield and work the ball around the pitch very well. We'll have to decide how we play against that.”
