It was twelve months back that Swansea City were first linked with a move for Fon Williams but he ended up at Stockport instead.

He has made 39 appearances for the Edgeley Park club but their financial crisis – they entered administration this week – means that he is likely to be on the move again this summer.

The keeper – valued at around £1 million – is also attracting interest from Derby County and Ipswich Town according to reports but the Swans are in the pack of clubs reported to be chasing him.

Roberto has been on the look out for a keeper to back up De Vries all season and with the Dutchman not yet agreed on a new contract to stay at the Liberty there is a chance that Fon Williams could be on his way to the Swans.
