The former Ado Den Haag shot-stopper see's his current contract expire this summer with Roberto Martinez and the board trying to conclude a deal to keep the Dutchman at the club, this will undoubtedly go some way in maintaining the core of the Swansea squad.
Should De Vries sign the reported extension it would keep Swansea's no 1 at the club until 2011, however the 28 year old has been frustrated by the lack of consensus over his new deal over the course of the last month.
