I would still make an assumption that the final price for Dyer is more likely to be influenced by the administrator rather than the Southampton boss who oversaw their relegation to League One last season.

Wotte has proved himself to be unhappy so far with the Swans valuation of Dyer who appears to be overpriced by the Saints.

They are reported to want in excess of £750,000 for the player they happily loaned out for most of last season whilst the Swans offer is around a third of that as the Saints are rumoured to be setting their sights lower than their original valuation.

Speaking to the Evening Post Wotte has now accused the Swans on going back on a previous deal saying "During the season, somewhere in February or March there was a deal with Swansea and I really think that they have to keep their word about this deal.

"I don't see any reason why they had to come back with a lesser deal.   If they are willing to stand by that first deal then we can proceed

"They offered half of this money a couple of weeks ago and now increase it a little but it's still not good enough.

"The offer that has been made is still not good enough for this quality of player and I really would prefer to have Nathan back for Southampton" he added totally ignoring the fact that he didn't deem him good enough to keep him there last season

"He can be a good player in League One and his contract is good for us in League One – he's not a very expensive player for us there.  if Swansea really want him then it has to be a respectable offer and right now it's not.  It's up to Swansea."
