Martinez Denies Celtic Interest Claims

Martinez was quoted as saying, yesterday, “Managing Celtic is one of the top jobs in European football. Anyone would be interested in a job like this. However, everything would have to be sorted with Swansea first. I have an agreement in place with the Swansea chairman as to what would happen and I’d want that to be honoured.”

Due to fly back into the country the Spaniard, contacted The Western Mail to refute the Scottish papers claims that he wanted the Parkhead club to make him an offer, he said “ No quotes from me are true because I have not spoken to the Press.”

Speculation has also been mounting over a potential move to fill the vacant managers job at Wigan, following Steve Bruce's likely departure to rivals Sunderland.
