It is almost natural when a manager moves on to see the tabloid press linking his better players at previous club with move to new club and Angel Rangel is one of those links in today's Daily Mirror.
The paper speculates that Roberto is thinking of trying to prise Rangel – one of his biggest signing successes – away from the Liberty in a £3m move
The piece in the paper says "Spaniard Martinez is set to leave Swansea to become the Latics' new manager and plans to take chief scout Kevin Reeves and assistant boss Graeme Jones with him.
"Right-back Rangel, 26, is set to become one of Martinez's first signings and could cost around £3million."
There has been heavy speculation already this summer that Rangel would be on the move so I guess it seems almost natural that Wigan's name would be added to that list following the surprise move by the Swansea manager to jump ship with his backroom staff.
