Having never fulfilled his ambition of playing for the club, Hartson now wants a crack at managing them following the departure of Roberto for Wigan which is set to be announced imminently.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Hartson says "Several clubs have been made aware of me. I would walk over hot coals to take Swansea into the Premier League.

"I have a lot to give to coaching and management and that is what I want to do."

Hartson has his UEFA-A licence having worked for his coaching exams as well as undertaking media work since his retirement from the playing side of the game.

Hartson joins an alleged list of 100 people who have already expressed an interest in the soon to be vacant role at the Liberty Stadium.
