Not wanting to waste too much of their close season searching for a new man the Western Mail reports that the Swans want to get the vacancy filled as soon as possible.

With over 100 applicants reported already for the soon to be vacant job – around 30 of them reported as 'credible' – the Swans board will sit down and make the decision on who they want to take the club forward following the sudden departure of Roberto Martinez.

Having concluded two pieces of business already this summer, they are keen to give the new man as much time as possible to work on his own transfer targets and it is believed that financially they will offer budgets to allow him to bring him some of his own signings ahead of the side reporting for pre-season training at the end of this month.

It took a matter of days to replace Kenny Jackett with Roberto last time they had a managerial vacancy and the Swans are reported to want this one to conclude as quickly with the new season less than nine weeks away from starting.
