Well respected Dutch football news site Voetbal International report that the 28 year old has held talks with new Swansea boss Paulo Sousa and that the club are set to offer the former Ado Den Haag a fresh contract extension.
It is also thought that the Beverwijk born goalkeeper turned down his former club Den Haag after the first choice keeper Robert Zwinkels suffered a long term injury.
De Vries who lost his Grandfather a few weeks ago has understandably admitted that his families loss took its toll on him as he told the SWEP, he said, "My grandfather was like a second dad to me. Straight after the season finished I went to spend some time with him and sadly he died a couple of weeks ago.
