Bolton have launched two bids for Dutch midfielder Bodde in recent weeks, worth £2.5m and £3.5m respectively, but both have fallen short of the Swans’ valuation.

That’s thought to be £5m, and even then, the club would only receive £2.5m due to the clause in Bodde’s contract which sees 50% of any transfer fee go to ADO Den Haag.

If any business is to be done, Megson says it will be for the price they last offered, and not a penny higher.

Bodde is due to return to South Wales next week, when he finishes his rehabilitation in Holland.

“We have made an offer for Ferrie,” Megson confirmed.

“We are where we are with that one and if Swansea do want to do business it will be on the price we have last done at.

“Otherwise we will move on because we have got one or two midfielders here that I am pleased with and every player has their price so we won’t go above what we have offered so far.”
