‘El Toro’ is finally fully fit after struggling for the majority of last season with a hernia problem, which has now been operated on.

The former Granada man has already scored three goals in three games so far in pre season – one away against Trofense and two at home to FC Twente.

“I think the fans will get to see what I can really do this season,” he said.

“I want to fulfill my potential and I’m working really hard towards that.

“I’ve always felt I can play well in British football because it suits my style of play. I want to prove that this year.

“I don’t feel any extra pressure now Jason has gone. I had the same pressure when he was here, but now I have to work hard every day to score more goals.

“I don’t know if I will be the main man up front now. I would like to be, but you never know what will happen in football.

“All I know is that I feel great at the moment. I’m training hard and I’m looking forward to making a big start to the season.

“We have lost players, but we are all confident we can have a good season. We have to focus on what we are doing here with the new manager.”
