It seems almost inevitable that the Swansea City midfielder was going to attract interest this transfer window given his excellent form to date this season and its seems that it is about to be Nottingham Forest who have their eyes on Pratley.

The Nottingham Evening Post reports that FEC have already made a bid for Pratley but could be forced to up their bid should they want to land Pratley, who has scored five goals this season.

They are also reported still to be in the race for Victor Moses who is almost certain to leave Palace following their drop into administration.

Billy Davies made no reference to Pratley but when questioned on his targets he said Why do we need to sign players now? Because it gives you that extra ten per-cent between now and the end of the season

“That ten per-cent can be the difference. I hope we don’t look back at the end of the season and feel that we missed out because we were a little bit short; that we don’t miss out on promotion or a play-off place by two or three points.

“We are not trying to fix something that isn’t broken. It is about making sure we are not short later on.

“There is nothing to report on Nicky Shorey or Raddy Majewski right now, but we have not had a ‘no’ yet from Villa.”
