Games are coming thick and fast for the Swans at the moment as they prepare for their fourth game inside eleven days on Tuesday night when 2nd placed West Brom visit the Liberty.
And Williams is not showing a single complaint after the frustration of Saturday when the Swans drew 0-0 with Sheffield Wednesday, a result that led manager Paulo Sousa to call for patience from the fans after some vented their frustrations on the weekend.
“I don’t really think it affected the boys, we can hear the fans getting a little bit edgy but that’s fine, that’s to be expected." Williams told the Western Mail
“I just want to tell the fans we are trying our best, but maybe as players we need to be a bit more patient.
“Teams come to defend and we need to be patient and wait for that something to carve them open.
“We are trying to get the win and I know the fans want it as much as we do. We are all in it together.
“I just want the fans and players to enjoy being in the position we are in.
“It’s exciting times for the fans and we are like fans at the minute
“After a game I just want to get home, look at how the other results went and get the energy up for our next game.
“We have not got the biggest of squads and the biggest of budgets so it is a real credit to the boys that we are going out against teams that cost a lot more than our squad and not only living with them, but playing better than them.
“We are doing okay at the moment,” said a modest Williams.
“It was very hard for us, probably a lot harder than it looked at times especially from the back, when we got the ball there was not a lot on.
“It wasn’t that our players didn’t want the ball, they just couldn’t get any space and I thought Sheffield Wednesday did well.
“It’s frustrating but you’ve got to take the positives out of it, it is another clean sheet and we didn’t lose.”
“We are looking to the next game and who we are playing and it is exciting times to be involved with Swansea City.”
