The Swansea City midfielder accepts that the team have to aim to win games at the moment and the style that they win them in is not maybe as important as it could be.
Two wins from three games is predicted to be enough for the Swans to make the end of season play off party and Pratley wants the team to secure one of those wins in the home game with Barnsley this Saturday.
He told the Western Mail “If we want to get in the play-offs, we have to fight for it
“Sometimes it will be ugly and sometimes we will have to scrap for wins, but that’s what you have got to do.
“At this stage of the season, it doesn’t need to be pretty.
“You just have to get that ugly goal, win the game and get the job done.
“It doesn’t matter how you get there, you just want to be in the play-offs at the end of the season.
“You won’t be looking back and working out which games you played well in and which ones you didn’t.
“By that stage it won’t matter because you got where you wanted to be.
“Blackpool losing keeps us in the play-off places and gives us another chance to put things right against Barnsley.
“We know our form hasn’t been good enough and we are in a fight for it now.
“Every game will be hard and we won’t get anything the easy way.
“I have been in the play-offs before so I understand the pressure,” he said.
“Even though the prize is bigger, it feels the same.
“Obviously we all want to get in the Premiership. But play-offs are play-offs.
“If you are fighting to get into another league, it doesn’t matter which one it is.
“It doesn’t get any harder just because it’s the Premiership.
“I can’t really say why we are struggling at the moment.
“Maybe there’s a bit more pressure on the lads, I don’t know.
“And obviously, when the sun is out like Saturday, it’s hot and tiring out on the pitch. But you have to get through that.
“It’s a big prize at the end. At this stage of the season I’d like to see anyone that’s not tired but you have to get past it.
“We just have to get back to winning ways. It’s as simple as that.”
