The Swansea City chairman has seen the departed Dobbie join Blackpool on loan and score some key goals to keep them very much on the Swans trail in the play off hunt.
Jenkins told the Evening Post "I am like every other Swansea supporter — I would like to see Stephen Dobbie here playing with us because that's what we signed him for
"But the point is that a few players had to go out on loan and get some games under their belt.
"Players and their agents are not happy if those players are just sat around on a Saturday.
"They want to go out and play games, and that's where we were with Stephen.
"We fully expect him to be back at the end of this season to restart his career with us," he added.
"As for what he does while he is with Blackpool, we can't really worry about that.
"The way I look at it is that if he didn't play for them, somebody else would and, who knows, they might score more goals.
"The fact is that our fate is in our hands, as it has been since Stephen left.
"Therefore we only need to concentrate on ourselves and worry about what we're doing."
