The Swansea City manager saw his side slip out of the top six for the first  time in almost six months with just one game of the season to go.

Anything less than a win next Sunday against Doncaster will see the season end three weeks earlier than anybody had hoped and even victory would not be enough to guarantee their play off space should Blackpool beat Bristol City at Bloomfield Road.

But Sousa still believes that they can achieve their goal and said after the gameThings can change and turn and we have to believe and we have to do our job properly

“We are depending on others, but we need to have pride in ourselves and keep our heads high because the way we have played this season is good.

“What we expect is my players to keep training with the same enthusiasm and to perform like we did today because it is easy to win games like that.

“The referee did something we are used to. It has been like that all season,” he said.

“We have not had anything given all season so I don’t expect the referee to give us it today.

“But the way we came here and performed like we did was outstanding. Their keeper was also outstanding and was man of the match.”
