The Swansea City manager was facing up to the fact that his team missed out on the play offs on the final day because of their inability to break down Doncaster and in the end they missed out by just one point.

Speaking after the 0-0 draw Sousa said "Everyone is unhappy in the dressing room as we have not done what we wanted to do.

"We deserved to win the game, which has reflected our season, and we made enough chances to win but failed to score and once again referee's decisions have cost us dearly.

"I do not want to talk about the handball decision but we had no luck at all today.

"It was a pleasure working with these players who have given everything to the club and they deserve much more.

"I am happy because at the start of the season I said I wanted the club to finish in the top half of the division and we have achieved that."
