Swansea City Chairman Huw Jenkins has said again that he is prepared to wait for the midfielder's decision but accepts that his future is out of the club's hands.
The Chairman added that he was also determined to only let people leave the club this summer if it was in the best interests of the Swans as speculation increased of moves for both Darren Pratley and Ashley Williams in the summer.
Jenkins told the Western Mail “We have been talking to Leon for months and that hasn’t changed
“He is entitled to see out his contract though. At his age, with the years he has committed to this club, you have to give him that respect and let him decide what is in his best interests.
“It’s a very important time for him. We accept that and will wait for his decision.
“We will do our utmost to keep the players we have under contract.
“We have done that in the past and we will keep trying to do so. If anyone leaves, it will be in our best interest.”
