The Swansea City manager was assessing the relative merits of all four play off contenders after looking back briefly on his own season in charge at the Swans – deeming the 7th place finish a success.
And he believes that the Swans near rivals will triumph over the three games in the play offs and believes that they will beat Blackpool at Wembley on 22 May to win promotion to the Premier League.
But first on his own season, Sousa told the Daily Mail "'My ambition is to keep doing well in this country. I love it here, the crowds, the passion in the game. Football is England and I think I am tailored for this football and will be even more successful.
"This is one of the most difficult leagues in Europe. The teams are very close regarding players and their quality. It is very competitive and every game is a difficult one.
"When I arrived at the club, the chairman asked me to save the club from relegation. The club was in turmoil after the departure of the coaching, scouting and medical staff. Added to that they had lost the two best goalscorers. So looking back, seventh is a fantastic achievement."
And on the subject of Cardiff and the play offs "Cardiff's main strength is their offensive organisation. They are a constant goal thread and with players like Jay Bothroyd, Michael Chopra, Peter Whittingham and Chris Burke they can make the difference at any time in the game . They are the best of the sides at set plays.
"When the team presses forward like they do that can leave gaps at the back and Cardiff's full backs have a tendency to leave the channel between midfield and defence open. That means they concede space in a crucial area.
"I have a great relationship with Dave Jones. He is a man of great character and has a proven record of achieving promotion."
