The Swansea City midfielder is out of contract next summer and has already been the subject of reported interest from Nottingham Forest who also made a move for Pratley back in January.

And whilst Jenkins refused to rule out the sale of the player he did reiterate his viewpoint that players only leave with the right deal for Swansea City in place and hoped that he could keep hold of one of his star midfielders

He told the official website "Now that our new manager is in place, we will be looking to start discussions with Darren Pratley over a new contract

"I had a private conversation with Nottingham Forest a few weeks ago which, as we agreed, will stay private.

"I assume that today's story is an attempt by agents to put pressure on us. It's certainly not a new story, so I'm very disappointed.

"But I can state quite categorically that we will not be pressurised or bullied by anyone.

"We will deal with things the right way for our football club. I can assure supporters that nobody will leave this club unless the deal is right for us and every other option has been exhausted.''
