The paper is reporting that Swansea City have turned their attentions to Lita after approaches for Tamas Priskin at Ipswich and Danny Graham at Watford came to nothing.
Lita has fallen out of favour at the Riverside since the arrival of Kris Boyd in the summer although he remains one of only four strikers on the books at Middlesbrough. A signing last summer from Reading, Lita scored 8 times in the Championship last season in 23 starts but has an overall career total approaching 100 goals in under 200 starts.
The Post also reports that wages coulld prove to be a stumbling block to any loan move which may force the Swans to look elsewhere with West Ham man Nouble a reported target.
Nouble has made 10 appearances for the West Ham first team and spent time on loan at West Brom and Swindon last season – failing to find the net on either occasion.
"We have a list of names and there will certainly be one or two arrivals before the window closes," Rodgers said over the weekend.
"We want someone with mobility, quality, hunger and ambition."
