Jones and Brendan Rodgers were giving their thoughts ahead of the game on Sunday that sees 1st face 3rd in the Championship meaning crucial promotion chasing points as well as bragging rights through South Wales.
“Everyone at the club’s looking forward to it, there’s a good feel factor,” said Jones
“It’s the same preparation as for any other game.
“You look at the team you are playing against, try to nullify their strengths and play to your own.
“As a player I never enjoyed derbies, they’re so intense and you don’t want to make a mistake… derbies are always tough, always difficult.
“But everyone wants to play, you can see in training that the tempo is up, everyone’s enjoying the time.
“Whatever team I pick they’ll all go out and do their best. We will hopefully have a fantastic game of football and come up with the points.”
