The striker has returned to Swansea City following his loan spell at Derby and Rodgers now says that he will sit down and discuss what happens next with the player.
“I will sit down with Shefki and have a chat about where he is at,” Rodgers told the Evening Post.
“He has done reasonably well at Derby, but probably things haven’t changed in relation to where we are.
“He is a good guy and at his age he will probably want to play regular football.
“His contract is up at the end of the season and I’m sure he’ll want to secure something else.
“But first I will have a chat with him and then we’ll see where we are.”
