Kemy Patient For More Swansea Starts

The exclusion of Kemy has been a mystery to some Swans fans particularly after impressing in most of the time he has spent on the pitch since his arrival earlier this season.

But rather than jump up and down he is patient for his chance and told the Evening Post “The players in the team have done a very good job and I think the manager has wanted to keep confidence in the players and consistency in the side,” he says.

“I’ve worked very hard to come back from injury but I’ve had to watch a lot from the bench.

“I have not played as much as I would have liked, so it has been frustrating.

“I think I’ve done a good job when I’ve come off the bench, but I am still waiting to get more starts.

“But I won’t be a problem for the manager. I’ve learned from my mistakes in the past. A few things happened then that made me act differently now.

“I think that is the best way because I speak regularly with the manager and I understand his way of thinking.

“He has told me it is going to be a busy Christmas period and he will need me during it, so that’s a good sign for me.

“The only thing I can do is keep my mouth shut, keep my head up and keep working hard for the club because there are good times ahead.

“The club were great with me during my injury and I want to thank them for that,” he adds.

“But the supporters have waited for a long time to see what I can do, and now it’s time to show them I’m a good player.

“I know I have the quality to play and, even if it’s one minute or 90 minutes, I will give everything.

“I am not an arrogant man at all, but I have confidence in myself.

“If I am fit, I can bring some extra quality to the team. But I will wait for my chance, and when that comes I have to take it.

“It is a very good place for me to play. At Swansea, I can play in any part of the midfield three.

“With the system we play I can sit as the holding player with the knowledge that I can go forward and attack.

“I can play as the attacking player too โ€” wherever the manager wants me, I am comfortable in any of the positions.

“All I am waiting for now is a chance.”
