Brendan – We Are Good Enough To Go Up

Eight years ago when Swansea City were battling to avoid relegation to the Conference, the dream of the Premier League seemed a million miles away.

But Brendan takes his side to Barnsley tomorrow with just three points separating them from the top of the league and – if results went their way – they could end tomorrow just seperated by goal difference.

And the Swans manager says that they are good enough to maintain their position as he explained to the Evening Post “We can still be there at the end of the season, there’s absolutely no question,” said the Swansea boss.

“With the quality of the group, the mentality of the group and that bit of extra belief, we can stay there.

“We are as good as anyone in this league, there is absolutely no doubt, and we can finish in the top two.

“But it’s easy to say that and it’s another thing to do it.

“What we must do for the moment is keep focusing on each game and keep believing, then we will see where that takes us.

“I think everyone in the league now sees us as a genuine threat, but we have to keep producing performances.

“We are confident, we are strong, we passing the ball well and we are keeping clean sheets, but we have to keep that going.”
