The Swansea City manager saw a Darren Pratley double defeat Bristol City and put the Swans in 3rd place going into Sunday’s crunch derby with Cardiff City.
And a delighted Brendan told the official site after the game “I thought we were brilliant
“I said to the players that not many teams come here and get clapped off by the home support.
“The first-half was a good demonstration of how we play, with and without the ball, and the second-half we knew that Bristol City for the first 15 minutes would adapt tactically to try and stop us playing.
“But once we rode that storm we took control again and it was impressive.”
Bristol City boss Keith Millen, meanwhile, was disappointed with the result and with the manner in which his side conceded the two goals.
“We let a very good passing side dictate the game,” he said.
“We didn’t keep our shape well enough and when we had the ball, our lack of confidence affected our passing.
“It was a soft goal to give away on ten minutes and once that went in the confidence just drained from every one of them.
“The way we conceded the second goal, from a set-piece, was criminal. That’s the most annoying part of the game.”
