Bothroyd – Beating Swansea Would Be Massive

Bothroyd will go into Sunday’s Swansea City v Cardiff City derby at the Liberty Stadium knowing that a victory would move the Bluebirds back ahead of the Swans in the promotion race.

Swansea currently hold a two point advantage in that race and also know that victory will give them the first ever league double in meetings between the two sides.

โ€œWe are determined to beat Swansea โ€“ it would be a massive victory,โ€ Bothroyd told Cardiff City Player.

โ€œIโ€™m not from Cardiff, but I consider myself a Cardiff boy. Iโ€™m settled here and really enjoy the banter I have with our fans.

โ€œTo play for Cardiff City in our local derby is a massive thing for me to be involved in.

โ€œI want to help this club get to the Premier League,โ€ said Bothroyd. โ€œI really believe we can do it this season.”
