The Swansea City manager saw his side gain their 8th away league success of the season at Coventry City and in the process moved back into 2nd place in the Championship table.
“It was a tough game for us and we knew it would be. We knew Coventry would be coming into this fresh and they have a style that meant we knew we would have to defend a lot of high balls,” Rodgers told the official site.
“We stood strong to that and we kept ourselves in the game for long enough that we could eventually take control of a difficult game and get a fantastic win.
“We had to show steel and determination to get the result and those are the things you have to have if you are going to be a top team and be successful.
“I think we have shown what we are all about andย Ashley Williamsย has just said that we are now winning games that we maybe wouldn’t have done before.
“That’s our eighth away win in the Championship and that’s a very pleasing return.
