The Swansea City manager saw his side beat Leeds United 3-0 to cement their position in 2nd place in the league and he told the Evening Post "It was a big performance in a big game,
"I think because of the occasion — playing one of our rivals in front of a record crowd and the TV cameras — it would be hard to argue that we have produced a better performance than that.
"I thought we were outstanding against Preston in the first home (league) game of the season, and there have been a few others where we've been very, very good.
"But apart from five minutes, we played at a very high level throughout the game against Leeds and that's hard to do.
"Look at our intensity in the first minute and the last and that will tell you a lot.
"I was really, really pleased for the players, who deserve that recognition after all the work they have done this season," Rodgers added.
"The quality of our play was exceptional and I don't think it was about Leeds playing badly. We have spoken about our performance all season — how we play, how we pass, how we move, how we get in between people and how we defend.
"All the elements were there in a big game last weekend, and that gives me great hope."
