Rodgers – There Is No Complacency

The Swansea City manager was referring to Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Watford where his side appeared to lift their foot off the gas and allow the visitors into the game.

He told the Western Mail “We’ve taken the praise and the plaudits, but we’re not good enough not to have to work and work hard

“Maybe we thought the game was won and we went to sleep.

“But we’re not good enough not to have to do the nuts and bolts. We pride ourselves on the other bits of the game as much as we do our possession, but we didn’t do it. We demand more from ourselves than that.

"There is no complacency

“That won’t happen when I’m here.

“But it’s important we don’t get comfortable in games and be ruthless instead. We’re at the stage of the season where you have to up the tempo and be ruthless – if you don’t then you can get punished.

“It’s a lesson for us and if we don’t learn from it then we will continue to get punished.”
