Nottingham Forest are the next test for Swansea City this weekend with the Swans now on a three game winless streak that has seen them pick up just one point from the last nine available.
And Dobbie has called on the Swans to produce the kind of performance that destroyed Leeds at the Liberty just a few short weeks ago.
Three goals without reply was the reward for that performance and with the Swans down to third place thanks to Norwich's win on Monday, they need to search out points to keep them in touch with second place.
Dobbie told the Western Mail “After Leeds we were on such a high and we need to get back to that
“I don’t think it’ll be difficult to pick ourselves up because it’s Nottingham Forest coming.
“Big games need big characters and we’ve got them in the dressing room.
“It’s going to be a big crowd against Forest so we need to get back to winning ways.
“The players know what we have to do and I think at the end or the season we’ll be there or thereabouts.
“We said at the start of the season we wanted to do better than last year and it’s a progression.
“But when you’re up there you want that automatic promotion.
“We’ve not won in the last three, but we’re still up there or thereabouts and there’s a lot of time to go.
“There are a couple of weeks when everyone’s winning and then a couple of weeks where no one’s winning.
“It’s one of those things where you’ve got to keep going and, with nine games left, there’s still a lot of points out there to play for.
“We’ve still got Nottingham Forest and Norwich at home so we can take a lot of points off the other teams chasing promotion.
“It’s been a long time since I’ve played two 90 minutes in a row
“I’m just enjoying myself being back playing.
“For myself it’s very pleasing, but obviously the result wasn’t.
“We just need to push on for the next game.”
