The Swansea City manager has seen his side pick up just 1 point from the last 9 available. That has cost his side their second place position in the table and many are now pointing to today's game against fellow top 6 side Nottingham Forest as a must win game.
Rodgers told the Western Mail "This is a game that will hopefully refocus our drive to move forward
“This is my 35th week at Swansea and we’ve had one bad week in terms of results. So the players deserve a massive amount of credit and I can’t be too hard on them because they have been magnificent.
“The performance level against Scunthorpe was okay, but we didn’t get the result.
“We played well against Watford, but they had won three out of four and it wasn’t a bad slip from us. And we were disappointed with Derby.
“It’s a big game and we’ve got big characters. I expect us to go in with all guns blazing. We’ve shown more times than enough we can get results in that league.
“We’ve seen over the years in this league and in the top league, money doesn’t buy you everything,” said Swans boss Rodgers about the financial gulf between the two sides.
“I’ve got a wonderful group of players here who are motivated and hungry to do well.
“When you mix that with how we work every day it’s great.
“These players never have a lazy day, they always want to improve and get better.”
