The Swansea City manager told the official website "I thought we were brilliant today
"Apart from a four minute spell at the end of the first half and the end of the second, we were fantastic.
"There was a freshness back in our game today and we restricted a very good Forest side to only a few chances.
"I've got to give massive credit to the players to bounce back from our recent run of results to put on a fantastic performance.
"I though we could have scored a few more and I don't think the 3-2 scoreline reflected the game."
Brendan also revealed that he used the sad passing of Swans fan Gwyn David last weekend as part of his pre-match team talk
"My team talk before the game was about putting on a performance for Gwyn and our supporters,'' he added.
"I hope that win has given the family a wee bit of joy from what has been a difficult week for them.
And the Swans boss couldn't end his press conference without singing the praises of Fabio Bolini who rounded off a great performance with two goals on his debut on loan from Chelsea.
"I knew what Fabio was all about. He's got a natural instinct to score goals and I think everyone could see his qualities today.
"He was up against one of the best and most experienced central defenders in the league in Wes Morgan, but his work-rate, passion and attitude was excellent. His finishes were that of a top player.
"I've spoken to his agent, Chelsea and the boy and he has enjoyed his first couple of days here. There is a possible deal in place for the end of the season, but we'll wait until then to look at it.
"In the meantime, we've got to get ready for an eight-game season and a fantastic finish.''
