Borini opened his Swansea City account on debut against Nottingham Forest with a double but he has now set himself the target of five more goals between now and the end of the season.
Having played for Italy Under-21s last week under the watching eye from the stands of Parma director of football Antonello Preiti, Borini told the Western Mail “I did not know he was there, but I do know there’s interest in Parma for me.
“But even then, they are not the only team and if I start thinking about how many are following me it will end up detracting from my real goal.
“And that’s to score five more goals by the end of the season with Swansea. I want to play and grow and I have finally found a place where I can.
“And I know I earn a great future as well if I continue like this.
“We’ll see what happens but I really like the English atmosphere and English football – I think that’s my football.
“It’s like a dream at the moment because I really want to play and know I’m doing that,” said Borini, who came on as a second-half sub against Sweden before starting on the bench for the friendly in Germany last night.
“I’m trying to enjoy this moment because I know I’ll have to deal with other less beautiful moments. But I try not to think about that and I know things can get even better.”
