Alfei played a part in Swansea CIty's FA Cup run this season and also made his Championship debut in the 3-0 win over Crystal Palace at the Liberty back in January.
And now his promise has been rewarded with the deal which prompted Brendan Rodgers to tell the Western Mail “I always want to give young players a chance if they are committed
“He deserved it because I have seen him train with us every day since I’ve been here.
“Over time he will develop into a very good player. More importantly, he’s got all the traits to be a very good Swansea City player.”
“I’m delighted,” said Alfei. “It’s good to know the club has the faith to offer me a three-year deal and as far as I’m concerned, there is no better place for me to be playing my football.
“I’ve improved a lot this year by training and playing with such a quality squad. The gaffer (Brendan Rodgers) has helped me develop. He is always talking to me and telling me where I am and where I need to be. His coaching methods have also brought my game on a great deal.
“It’s an exciting time to be part of the club and I’m really looking forward to the future.”
