The Swansea City manager takes his side to Portsmouth at the weekend looking for the first of those four victories that he thinks could be enough to secure a top two finish.
Some recent wretched away form has seen the Swans now finding themselves 7 points off a top two placing in the league and Rodgers knows that form must be turned around if they are to avoid the end of season lottery that is the play offs.
“After the international break, we felt as a group we would need five more wins,” Rodgers told the Western Mail.
“And the great thing for us is that we can still achieve that target. We got one win against Norwich, and with four games ahead of us we can still get to where we wanted to be.
“We wanted to get our points tally into the low 80s and that is achievable. If we do that and it’s still not enough, then we can say we have given it our best shot."
