The Swansea City manager will watch both Cardiff City and Norwich City in the Championship on Monday night knowing that a positive result for either of them will consign his side to the play offs.
Cardiff entertain Middlesbrough in the first match before Norwich travel to Portsmouth in the later kick off in what almost certainly is a two horse race to join QPR in the automatic places for a place in the Premier League.
A win for Cardiff or a point for Norwich will end the Swans chances of a top two placing this season and Rodgers told Wales on Sunday “I’ll watch the games on Monday night and see what it brings
“But all you can do is control yourselves and my players have been fantastic this season.
“We’ve got great confidence at the moment and I’m very content at where we are right now. We’ve got a patience and a focus to our game.
“We’ll see where we after next weekend and get ready to go,” said Rodgers. “But I believe the way we play will help us if we go into the play-offs.”
