The Nottingham Forest striker will return from suspension against Swansea City on Thursday and he believes that Forest could have hit form right on time ahead of the clash with the Swans.
Earnshaw told the Western Mail “This team can be a little bit naive sometimes, definitely
“I’ve experienced a hell of a lot in my career and if I can help each and every one of my teammates by having a word in their ear then I’m going to do that.
“But the biggest thing for us is being excited by what we’re facing.
"We’ve just had a little bit of luck
“I think maybe our work levels have gone up slightly as well and we’ve just ground out results.
“All teams – whether they’re going for automatic, play-offs or battling relegation – it’s all been about winning games and the last few weeks at the right time we’ve picked up a few results which has got us into the play-offs."
Forest were beaten at this stage last season by Blackpool but he insists that will have no effect on Thursday “I don’t think it’s a big factor because it’s all in the past.
“This team has only faced that last season so the players here only remember that.
“The fans will have a thought about it but the great thing about the play-offs is that we can go one better this time.
“We’ve got over that disappointment of not finishing first or second and making automatic promotion, so all our focus has been on the play-offs.”
