The Swansea City captain was back in training today and looks set to lead the Swans out against Reading on Monday after suffering from a stomach bug earlier in the week.
Monk told the club's official website "It's been a long two weeks between the play-off game with Nottingham Forest and Wembley
"It's dragged a bit for the players, but I know it's given everyone time to prepare on and off the field.
"We've got four solid days of preparation now ahead of the game and the boys are champing at the bit
"It will be four days of solid preparation now,'' added Monk, who was back on the training ground after a stomach bug. "We won't be doing anything special because it's important we stick to our normal routine and focus on the job ahead of us. Everything else will take care of itself.
"But everyone is looking forward to it. I've been to the old Wembley, but not the new one. I've always wanted to experience it, so what better way to do it than actually play there.
"There are quite a few experienced boys in the squad if the youngsters need any advice beforehand, but they've played in plenty of big games themselves this season so I don't foresee any problems.''
