And a source close to Taylor has been quoted in the North East as saying “Swansea are going to have one unhappy young man on their hands when pre-season starts next week.
“Neil has loved his time at Swansea, but the chance to join a huge club like Newcastle is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and he feels they are standing in his way.”
Alan Pardew is also reported to have said that he is confident of landing Taylor in the next week with Swansea braced for a second bid for the player.
