Pratley left Swansea City on the expiry of his current deal and is expected today to confirm his move to Bolton on a four year deal.
And he is tipped to shine at the Reebok Stadium by a former Swans defender. Sam Ricketts was leaving the Liberty when Pratley arrived in 2006 and now will line up with him at Bolton.
He told the Evening Post "I left Swansea about the same time as he came in from Fulham but I go back regularly to watch games and speak to a lot of players who were there
"People say he's a good professional and you can tell from watching him play that he's got good energy and an eye for goal.
"It's a step up to Premier League level but I think he'll handle it. The gaffer will have done his homework and I'm sure he'll be a good signing for us."
