Planet Swans ArchivesThe Post reveals that Middlesbrough striker is at the top end of the Swansea City manager's wanted list althogh Chairman Huw Jenkins admits that he is looking at other options as they prepare for their return to the top flight.
Speaking to the paper, Jenkins said "We had initial discussions with Middlesbrough a few weeks back but the figures quoted were a lot different from what we think the values are.
"Things can change in football, and things could change for Middlesbrough or for us.
"All I would say is that at the moment, Brendan is talking to different people and I am talking to different people to see what is out there."
Emnes spent a successful period on loan at the Liberty Stadium last season including the winner in the local derby at the Cardiff CIty Stadium
