A bid of just £2m for a player of Williams' quality is simply laughable in a transfer window which has just seen an inferior player in Matt Mills move to Leicester for over £5m.
The Ealing Gazette says the 'audacious' bid may need to be upped in order to trigger a buy-out clause which is apparently in place within Williams' contract.
QPR are keen to land the Wales international after a difficult summer of discontent at Loftus Road, with rumours suggesting Neil Warnock may not be around by the end of the season. The lack fo transfer movement, along with the suggestion fo Adel Taarabt leaving also, has made for an uncomfortable time for the Londoners.
Stranger moves have happened, but Ash to QPR for £2m? Unlikely to say the least.
