Rodgers watched as Danny Graham scored the only goal of the game to defeat their Spanish opponents and end a good pre-season for the Swans as they prepare for their first season in the Premier League.
Speaking via the Swans official website, Rodgers said “I was very pleased with the performance because they’re (Real Betis) a terrific side
“You’ve seen today the quality of their passing and movement.
“But to come off the back of a really long pre-season and to come out and perform like we did, was a big credit to our players.
“The players are now ready for the competition.
“After that first game it may take you a game or two to get up to speed, but we’ll be ready and prepared.
“We are looking ready and forward to winning some games and proving the doubters wrong.”
