Angel Rangel calls on the fans to be behind the Swans as they go in search of their first Premier League win
Rangel knows the difference that a passionate Liberty Stadium crowd can make and with a record attendance expected to be at the game tomorrow he wants the Jack Army to be voiceferous and right behind their team as they go in search of those all important Premier League points.
Rangel said “We knew that it would be tough to start and I think we’ve found already that there is a difference in the physicality. But slowly we are settling in and against Wigan we proved we don’t need to fear anyone, that we can be ourselves and play our football.
“We can’t look at the names because then you might get a bit afraid we are not ourselves.
“I think that happened a bit at Manchester City, we gave them to much respect and couldn’t really open up and keep the ball like we normally do.
“But we don’t need to fear anyone. We have nothing to prove because we are just promoted and will get better and better.
“And we have the chance to show that at home where we know we have to make the Liberty a fortress.
“Last season the fans were our 12th player.
“We got promoted because the team and the fans stuck together to the end.
“They have been used to success and many good afternoons at the Liberty, but we all must understand that it will now be tough.
“But, if we are together, we can have success and that can start with our first goal at home and our first win.
“If you look at the last few seasons our start hasn’t been great and it’s taken us three or four games to get our first win.
“You see in the Premier League nothing is decided going into the last two or three games.
“Whatever happens on Saturday, it’s not the end of the world.
“But we know the sooner you get your first win, the better and that’s what we’ll be aiming to do to move on with no fear.”
