Scott Sinclair says that everyone is relieved that they have finally broken their goal duck for the season
After four blanks in the Premier League, goals from Sinclair, Leroy Lita and Nathan Dyer finally broke the Swans duck on the weekend in the 3-0 win over West Brom that lifted them up the table.
And Sinclair – who returns with his side to Chelsea this weekend – insists that whilst they are relieved they knew that the goals were coming.
“It’s always nice to get on the scoresheet,” he told the Evening Post
“People have been saying we’re not going to score goals but we showed we can play well and score as well.
“I think everybody has just been finding their feet — it’s only the fifth game in. We’ve been playing well, it’s just been the goals.
“It was a relief for the team that we scored three goals. People kept saying we would never score, but it’s been coming.
“If we can keep playing like that and creating chances, we’re going to get more.
“It’s still early doors, it’s still the start of the season,” added Sinclair.
“When we get to ten to 15 games you can start to weigh things up. The main thing is to try to get as many points on the board as possible.
“But my confidence is up and the whole team’s confidence is up.”
