Huw Jenkins says that the Swans have to have belief for their next game that they can get the result they want
The Swans go into the last game before the next international break in 16th place in the Premier League table after Saturday’s 4-1 defeat at Chelsea and the Chairman knows that there are some weeks in the season where defeat is inevitable.
Generically it is mooted in the media that a target of around one point per game is enough for safety and a win on Sunday will put the Swans ahead of that figure and potentially on target to secure a second season in the division.
The Chairman told the Evening Postย “We have to make sure everyone concerned with the club shows the patience that you need
“I am talking about the players, the staff, the manager and the fans โ we all have to accept that some weeks in the Premier League, the result is going to go against us.
“We have to have patience and we also have to be realistic.
“When defeats come, we just have to put them to bed and focus on the next game.
“We have to go into the next game with renewed optimism and the belief that we can get the right result there.”
