Both Brendan Rodgers and Craig Beattie are confident that his loan move to Watford will benefit all parties
Beattie joined Watford on loan until January 8 on Monday ending a frustrating period for the striker at the Swans.
He has struggled to hold down any form of regular place in the team since his move to the club and both parties feel that a loan move will be beneficial for all concerned.
Rodgers told the Evening Postย “It has been difficult for Craig to get regular football
“He is 27, and at a point in his career where he wants to play more regularly than he has been.
“He is a good man who works hard every day โ he is very professional.
“But when you are Craig’s age you want to have something at the end of the week, and he now gets the chance to play some games for Watford.
“He is in the last year of his contract, and he can maybe consider some of the options that may be available to him.
“It’s too early to close the door,” he added.
“He will go to get games and then we will assess it in January.”
Whilst Beattie saidย “I want to play first-team football again and I will be doing my best to help the Hornets as much as I can during the spell.
“The ankle injury I picked up recently set me back a bit, but now I’m feeling fit and raring to go.”
