Michel Vorm clearly did not want his individual performance to take anything away from a brilliant Swans team performance
“My brother sent me a text after the game. He hadn’t seen the match but heard about it and he said we’d won a point because I’d played well.” Vorm said after the game
“But I said ‘that’s not true’ we played well as a team and I think every player did very well.
“I think if people talk about my game it makes it look as if Liverpool were always on top.
“Of course, when you’re a goalkeeper and you make some saves it can look good for you – but we won the point as a team and we deserved it.
“OK, they hit the crossbar early on and they had some chances at the end.
“But we played our usual game and there was a lot of the game where Liverpool just couldn’t get the ball.
“We were not afraid of coming here and playing as we did.
“For many it was the first time at Anfield, but I’d played here before, in the Europa League for Utrecht, when we also drew and I kept a clean sheet.
“It was a good opportunity for us to let everyone know that Swansea City can play good football.
“As everyone knows, we’ve had some difficult games away from home and we’ve drawn at Anfield, so that’s positive.
“And, if we carry on playing like this, I think we can win a lot of matches this season.”
