Garry Monk insists that there is nothing for Angel Rangel to apologise for after the weekend defeat
Rangel surrendered possession to Ryan Giggs that quickly led to Man Utd scoring their only goal – and the cruiclal one – of the game.
But Monk insists that there is no need to place blame on Rangel as he saidย “We’re disappointed with any mistake, but we’ll share the blame, we’ll take it as a team because it’s not about individuals
“There are plenty of times when people make a mistake and others try to bail you out. That’s part and parcel of the game.
“If you make a mistake you get punished in this league, whereas when they made mistakes we didn’t punish them โ that’s something we’ve got to learn to do quickly.
“Angel doesn’t have to apologise โ not at all โ he’s been fantastic for us and we’re all going to make mistakes.
“He didn’t do it on purpose, if he’s a dishonest lad that’s when you’ve got a problem, but he’s honest and he wants the best for the team.”
